Big Heart: Hearing the Cries of the World

Citta (in Sanskrit) or Xin (in Chinese) is said to be the universal substance that is both the foundation of all creation as well as its fruition, its highest aim. In the Christian tradition, we speak of God’s Light, even the Mind of Christ, to point to this very subtle reality.

Word salad aside, what is the lived experience of this Light, this Spirit? Is it real? Is it reliable? Can it help me out when I’m having a cruddy day? 

On February 14th, we will explore through direct experience the mystery that is known in Zen as “Big Heart.” You may find that there is something within you, something all about you that is truly capable of hearing all the cries of the world.
