The One, The Many

Whether we use the language of “I and the Father are one” in the Christian tradition or “to study the self is to lose the self” in Buddhism, there is a current that runs through the wisdom traditions pointing to a universal oneness beneath the surface of appearances. Paradoxically, in the Many, we are One.

In our next gathering, we will practice accessing this “One Taste” in meditation, that is, having a direct experience with it rather than merely talking about it. What we find is that the more deeply we can experience unity, the more exciting and enlivening our differences become.

*In order to help with venue costs and event production, we are asking for a $10 contribution, $5 for those in financial need.

Optional Service Project — Water Bottles for the Homeless
A small group of Lower Lights members will take water bottles to the homeless in SLC immediately after this month's sangha.

You can contribute by bringing a bottle (or multiple bottles) to the meeting. See a sample bottle here
