Our minds and hearts are exquisitely sensitive instruments, the full capacity of which we don’t often make use. What’s more, we live in a world where loneliness and isolation have become not just occasional challenges but pervasive flavors in our daily experience.

This month at Lower Lights we’ll work at the skill of tuning the heart-mind to more subtle realities of experience almost the way you would tune a radio to listen to your favorite station. What we find when we take up this practice is a surprising degree of intimacy, of aliveness, of connection that has always been here, lying just beyond the bandwidth of our ordinary consciousness.
